Upokongaro School
Many students walk, scooter, or bike across the Upokongaro School bridge to get to school from the Aramoho side of the river. We encourage whānau to do this when it is safe for them and their children. Please be aware of the road speeds around the school and teach your tamariki about road hazards and how to navigate the shared pathway safely.
For students who live outside the transport area of Upokongaro School, we provide a first in first served van service. Where possible this service is available door to door, however where this is not possible tamariki meet at meeting points across the city along the usual van routes.
When using the van service the following stipulations are imperative:
Van Drivers Details:
Uncle Alistair: 027 936 8056
Roger (Mr C): 027 443 5771
Miss Gascoigne: (Temporary) 021 0858 7622

For students within the school transport zone, a free bus service is available. This service is provided by Te Mahau (The Ministry of Education).
Our driver is Ian Wright and he can be contacted on 027 500 3660. All absences must be text to Ian.
To all parents and students please thoroughly read the Upokongaro Bus Transport Code of Conduct.
